Subject : Akmal's blistering 104 powers Zalmi to PSL final
Riding on a brilliant century by Kamran Akmal and superb bowling effort by pace duo of Chris Jordan and Wahab Riaz, Peshawar Zalmi knocked Karachi Kings out to qualify for the final of the second edition of Pakistan Super League. Chasing a target of 182, Karachi Kings were restricted to 157/7 in twenty overs as Chris Jordan and Wahab Riaz outclassed batting powerhouse of Karachi Kings. Kings never got the start it wanted and remained in the hunt for partnership as their wickets continue to fall frequently.

No other Karachi batsman then West Indian duo of Chris Gayle and Kieron Pollard could show some aggression against Peshawar’s disciplined bowling. Pollard smashed three sixes and four boundaries to score 47 off 26 while Gayle stroked two boundaries and smashed four sixes to score 40 off 31. But, it was not enough and Peshawar won the match by 24 runs. For Peshawar Zalmi, Wahab Riaz and Chris Jordan got three wickets apiece.
