Subject : Three 'Unstoppable' Pakistanis honoured at Femina Middle East Women Awards
Three Pakistani women were honoured on Wednesday night at the first ever Femina Middle East Women Awards held at the Jumeirah Beach hotel in Dubai. Awards were handed out to a multitude of women from various walks of lives, honoring their contributions and hard work. Among these winners was the nation's favorite television and film actress, Mahira Khan. The popular actress won the “Unstoppable Emerging Talent from Pakistan” award, adding one more accolade to her kitty. Femina, India’s first and largest women’s English magazine, has long been the definitive life and style guide for progressive women. The magazine organized the Femina ME Women Awards 2016 to celebrate the successful completion of their Middle Eastern wing. The event was attended by a host of great women personalities from across the world. Mahira’s victory was not the only one for Pakistan at the awards. Designer Farah Talib Aziz was awarded for being “Unstoppable in creative design” and was accompanied to the ceremony by her daughter and marketing genius behind the brand, Maliha Aziz. It wasn’t just the Pakistani fashion and media industry that was recognized for its work. Pakistani astronaut Namira Salim bagged the “Unstoppable in Space Exploration award.
