2. Incheon International Airport (Seoul, South Korea)
When you head through Incheon International Airport you’ll have a tough time figuring out why this place wasn’t the best hub in the world. The former winner of the top spot is one of the younger airports (opened in 2001) takes travel to the next level with a museum of Korean culture, stellar local-food options and incredible views of the area outside.

3. Munich Airport – Munich, Germany
Munich Airport took the biggest jump of any airport on the list, jumping three spots from sixth place in 2013. It’s a gorgeous place to walk through with its glass walls and ceilings that make the airport feel a lot bigger than it is. And it doesn’t hurt that Munich Airport has its own beer brewery, beer garden, and great dining options.

4. Hong Kong International Airport – Hong Kong
When you’re next to half of the world’s total population you’re going to want to be one of the best airports around. And Hong Kong International Airport shows it’s up to the challenge killer baggage delivery, fantastic dining options, cool shopping, and a nine-hole golf course.

5. Amsterdam Schiphol Airport – Amsterdam, The Netherlands
This old military airfield has become a layover paradise for weary travelers. Too tense? Get a massage. Feeling lucky? Make your bones in the casino. You can even pick out a good book at the airport’s library. You actually might want to stay at the airport and completely blow off your vacation. OK, probably not but Schiphol is a pretty awesome.

6. Tokyo International Airport Haneda – Tokyo, Japan
It won’t take long to figure out why you’ll find yourself among 90 million travelers that come through the gates of Haneda Airport on annual basis. Security processing at Tokyo International is second to none. And it’s getting better for people flying out of Tokyo with a brand new on-site hotel and a fresh terminal with eight more gates to move people in and out faster.

7. Beijing Capital International Airport – Beijing, China
This airport is second only to Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson with well over its annual projected 78 million person capacity. Still, Beijing Capital International Airport keeps up with the big dogs on the list with one of the world’s top terminals that was built for the 2008 Summer Olympics. We’re not entirely sure how long this hub will be on the list with the city building an airport bigger than all three of the major New York City airports (JFK, LaGuardia & Newark) combined, but let’s just enjoy the spotlight with them a little bit longer.

8. Zurich Airport – Zurich, Switzerland
This airport is all about making things easier on its visitors. An underground shuttle system gets travelers to and from their planes faster, while security processing is a lot better than many airports you’ve gone through. There’s even a porter service that guests can have them pick up their bags anywhere on the ground and take them to their final destination. How’s that for service?

9. Vancouver International Airport – Vancouver, British Columbia
Finally, a North American airport makes the list! Vancouver’s airport will certainly have a calming effect on you. There’s an indoor creek, along with a 114,000-liter aquarium in a facility that houses a huge collection of Pacific Northwest native artwork. Just a very relaxing airport.

10. London Heathrow Airport – London, England
Is Heathrow a little on the busy side? Oh, yes. Does it feel like it goes on forever when you come in from an international flight?
Damn right, it does. But London Heathrow makes up for some of the perceived shortcomings is a streamlined security process and shopping & dining options that puts a lot of airports to shame.
