The first ever title of ‘Master Chef Pakistan’, based on British TV show was won by Ammara Noman, an amateur cook. ‘Master Chef,’ a cooking reality show originating from Britain went global with national versions including Master Chef US, Master Chef Australia, Master Chef India, and now Master Chef Pakistan. After 26 episodes spanning over three months and including team-based and individual culinary challenges for 20 of the main selected competitors, the show announced its winner from among three female finalists on Sunday. The show’s judges’ panel included renowned chefs of Pakistan; Chef Zakir, Chef Mehboob and Chef Khurram. Ammara, the winner has been awarded with a chance of professional chefs training under top experts, publishing her own cookbook along with a cash prize of Rs 5,000,000. The first and second runner-ups, Gulnaz and Madiha also received cash prizes worth Rs 1,000,000 and Rs 500,000, respectively.
