SMIU would be the first university in Pakistan to hold the Festival of Arts and Ideas. In this festival on one hand international and national scholars would be delivering lectures and participating in panel discussions denoting intellectual activities, while on the other hand events associated with arts like screening of films, music, acting, painting and dancing would go on. There will be about forty events packed in three days with concurrent sessions going on. most important distinction would be that all this would be organised by SMIU students!
