The Shalamarians Arts & Photography Club is organizing Shalamarians' Arts Olympiad 2017 which shall be both an intracollegiate & intercollegiate event.

Last date for Registration is 20th March 2017


RULES & REGULATIONS:

Photography Competition & Exhibition

1- Printed Photographs of no less than 8 x10" printed on Photographic Sheet are to be submitted at least 9 days before the event and their soft copies should be emailed to shmdc.artsphotographyclub@gmail.com
2- Photographs should not be framed. The entries should have the following details properly mentioned at the back: Participant Name, Institute Name, Contact Number and E mail ID.
3- Use of Photo-editing & Photo-manipulation software shall result in DISQUALIFICATION.
4- Participants from the same institute can choose to register as a team. Registration fee per person is Rs. 250 (max 3 photographs) and per team consisting of 2 team members shall be Rs.400 (max 6 photographs) - This includes a complementary pass for closing ceremony.
5- In case an Individual wants to participate in more than one category, he/she has to register separately as an INDIVIDUAL participant in both categories.
6- Following are the themes for the competition:
- Black & White Photography
- Human Emotions
- Nature
- Speed
- Landscape
7- Entries must not contain any threatening, false, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or profane content.
8- The decision taken by the judges will be final and no negotiations will be entered into with respect to any such decision.
9- The Photographs will be handled by experienced personnel. However SAPC will not be responsible for any damage done to the artwork(s) while on display.


Painting, Calligraphy, Sketching Exhibition & Competition:

1- Paintings (all mediums except glass paintings), Calligraphy & Sketches are to be submitted 9 days before the event. Entries should be no less than 8 x10".
2- All the Paintings should be properly framed & mounted. The entries should have the following details properly mentioned at the back: Participant Name, Institute Name, Contact Number and Email ID.
3- The PAINTING registration fee shall be Rs.300/- per participant (max 2 paintings) and includes complimentary pass for the closing ceremony. Participants from the same institute may choose to register as a team. Registration fee per team consisting of 3 participants shall be Rs.800/- (Includes complimentary pass for the closing ceremony)
4- In case an Individual wants to participate in more than one category (Sketching & Painting), he/she has to register separately as an INDIVIDUAL participant in all categories.
5- Being an exhibition, the participants can choose whichever topic they believe they can unleash their creativity the best. The judgment criteria shall be based on concept, originality and technique.
6- Entries must not contain any threatening, false, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or profane content.
7- The decision taken by the judges will be final and no negotiations will be entered into with respect to any such decision.
8- The materials will be handled by experienced personnel. However SAPC will not be responsible for any damage done to the artwork(s) while on display.
9- SAPC organizing committee will not be held responsible in case a participant loses his/her belongings.
10- SAPC organizing committee reserves the right to change the event rules any time without any prior notice.

On-spot Sketching Competition:

1- Participants shall have to bring their own drawing boards & pencils.
2- Sketching sheets shall be provided by SAPC.
3- Registration fee shall be Rs.250 per individual and Rs.400/- per team of 2 members (will include closing ceremony pass).

On-Spot Painting Competition:

1- Participants are allowed to bring their own drawing boards, & brushes.
2- Painting sheets & 3 primary colors shall be provided by SAPC.
3- Registration fee shall be Rs.250 per individual and Rs.400/- per team of 2 members (will include closing ceremony pass).

On-spot Photography Competition:
1- Participants are expected to bring their own DSLR cameras.
2- It is an INDIVIDUAL Competition.
3- Pictures clicked from mobile or taken from any other source will result in disqualification.
4- Participants will have to submit his/her best 5 pictures.
5- Photographs taken should be related to the theme.
6- Decision of judges will be final and binding.
7- Registration fee shall be Rs.300 per individual (will include closing ceremony pass).

Arts & Craft

1- Participation Fee: Rs 250. This includes a complementary pass for the closing ceremony.
2- The entries should have the following details properly mentioned: Participant Name, Class, Contact Number and Email ID.
3- Theme: Open category (any concept). This may range from Origami, Sculptures, model making, hand-made cards or concept art of any sort.


Cartoons & Comics

1. Cartoons & Comics are to be submitted 9 days before the event. Entries should be no less than 8 x10".
2. All the cartoons & comics should have the following details properly mentioned at the back: Participant Name, Institute Name, Contact Number and Email ID.
3. The Registration fee shall be Rs.250 per participant (will include closing ceremony pass).
4. Entries must not contain any threatening, false, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or profane content.
5. Entries may contain captions & speech bubbles.

Henna Art Competition

1- Participants will be provided with henna and tissues.
2- Registration fee shall be Rs.200 per individual (will include pass for closing ceremony for the participant and fellow member on whom henna would be applied)

Treasure Hunt :
1- Rules and regulations of the games will be announced at the time.
2- Registration fee shall Rs.1000 per team of 5 members (will include closing ceremony pass)

Minute To Win It:
1-Registration fee shall Rs.300 per team of 2 members (will include closing ceremony pass)
2-Each challenge must be completed within the required amount of time in order to advance to the next round.
3-Detailed rules and regulations will be announced at the time.

Bullet Texting
1- Registration fee shall Rs.100 per person (will not include closing ceremony pass)
2-Participants will be given a message to write, the one who texts it fast and with least mistakes will win.

Important Information:

1- Each category of Competition will be judged by a Specific Judging Criteria & set of rules finalized by the Shalamarians’ Arts & Photography Club’s competition committee and decision of Judges will be considered FINAL & UNCHANGEABLE.
