Pakistan Meteorological Department on Friday announced that the Muslim festival of Eid-ul-Fitr would probably be celebrated in the country on August 20.

In a statement issued on Friday, the met department said that there are chances of moon sighting on August 19 instead of August 18.

“The weather would be cloudy on August 18 in most parts of Pakistan.”

Although the weather would be cloudy in upper parts of Pakistan on August 19 but the moon could be sighted in Sindh and Balochistan provinces, it said adding that there are obvious chances of moon sighting in different parts of the country on August 19.
