ISLAMABAD: Power shortage could further be enhance up to 2380 megawatt as several units of power production came to halt, the spokesman of Pakistan Electric Power Company (PEPCO) said.
According to a private TV channel, a spokesman of PEPCO Wednesday said that four units of Guddu power houses were closed due to suspension of gas supply.
He said that the four units were producing about 350 megawatt of electricity. Electric supply from Atomic Power Plant 2 was also suspended, he added.
He said that a further shortage of 2380 megawatt in power supply could take place due to non-availability of furnace oil.
